Dacuronium bromide is a steroidal neuromuscular blocking agent that acts as a competitive antagonist at nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. It is utilized in pharmacological research to study neuromuscular junction physiology, with its relative potency being approximately one-tenth that of tubocurarine and one-fiftieth that of pancuronium.
