In Vivo
In senescent cells with halted proliferation, treatment with CGK733 leads to the disappearance of senescence-associated beta-galactosidase (SA-β-gal) activity, enablin the cells to proliferate. In aged MCF-7 cells, 24 hour treatment with CGK733 (30 μM) can induce cell death. furthermore , in various cancer cells, such as MCF-7 and T47D estrogen receptor (ER) positive breast cancer cells, MDA-MB436 ER-negative breast cancer cells, LnCap precursor cancer cells, and HCT116 colon cancer cells, CGK733 (0.6-40 μM) ha the capability to inhibit proliferation.
