In Vivo
In the RT4 xenograft model, CEP-9722 (100-200 mg/kg/day; oral gavage; once daily; 5 days per week for 4 weeks) showed dose-dependent antitumor effects; 200 mg/kg/day was significantly superior to the control, while 100 mg/kg did not show significantly better efficacy than the control.
In Vitro
CEP-9722, the precursor drug of CEP-8983, is a selectively orally active inhibitor of PARP-1 and PARP-2, with IC50s of 20 nM and 6 nM for both, respectively.
