Description

Anti-hepatic fibrosis agent 3 is an orally active compound targeting Cathepsin D, used for anti-hepatic fibrosis. It has an IC50 of 53.18 μM against the COL1A1-promoter and a Kd of 8.86 μM when binding to Cathepsin D. This agent directly binds to and promotes the degradation of Cathepsin D, with no significant effect on Cathepsin B or Cathepsin L. It inhibits hepatic stellate cell activation, reduces extracellular matrix deposition, and suppresses the expression of inflammatory cytokines. In rat BDL and mouse CDAHFD-induced liver fibrosis models, Anti-hepatic fibrosis agent 3 demonstrates significant antifibrotic activity. It is applicable in liver fibrosis research.
