Description

Bragsin2 is a cell-permeable, selective inhibitor of the BRAG2 GEF, blocking Arf GTPase activation with an IC50 of 3 μM. It functions by disrupting the BRAG2 PH domain-membrane interaction, preventing activation of lipidated Arf. This tool compound is used in cell-based studies to investigate Arf-dependent signaling pathways in cancer and neurology research.

  Administration of 50 μM Bragsin2 inhibits Arf GTPase activation in HeLa cells. Administration of 50 μM Bragsin2 inhibits the growth of breast cancer stem cells including SUM149 and S68, but has no effect on SUM159, which lacks adhesion molecules such as integrin and cadherin.
