BMAP-28 (bovine) is a cationic antimicrobial peptide with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria via membrane disruption. It also demonstrates pro-apoptotic cytotoxicity against cancer cells and activated lymphocytes in vitro, primarily through mitochondrial depolarization.
