• In Vitro:
  METHODS: Yeast cells Schizosaccharomyces pombe were treated with Blasticidin S HCl (0.1-60 μg/mL) for 18 h, and the absorbance was measured to detect the inhibition of cell growth. RESULTS: Blasticidin S HCl inhibits the growth of Schizosaccharomyces pombe cells.
