• In Vivo:
  Pharmacokinetically, BI 99179 also performed very well in male Han/Wistar rats, with a half-life (t1/2) of 3.0 hours at an oral dose of 4 mg/kg.
• In Vitro:
  BI 99179 demonstrated significant efficacy in mouse hypothalamic N-42 cells with an IC50 of 0.6 μM and no significant LDH release below 30 μM in cytotoxicity assays. BI 99179 showed antiproliferative effects in human glioma GAMG cells at concentrations of 1, 2 and 4 μM.
