Description

This product isolates and purifies total DNA from 1–5 mL bacterial cultures. Cells are disrupted with lysozyme and lysed with Buffer BL-1, after which Buffer BL-2 precipitates proteins and cellular debris. The genomic DNA in the supernatant is bound to a purification column, washed with Buffers RP and WB to remove lingering proteins and PCR inhibitors, and eluted in Buffer TE for immediate downstream use in molecular biology experiments.
