AZD-2327 is a highly selective δ-opioid receptor agonist, exhibiting over 1000-fold selectivity against human μ- and κ-opioid subtypes and minimal activity at 130 other tested receptors and channels. It is utilized in preclinical research to investigate the role of the δ-opioid receptor in mood disorders, pain, and addiction, with applications in both in vitro binding assays and in vivo behavioral models.
