Description

As-CA11 is a thioredoxin reductase (TrxR) inhibitor with an IC50 value of 18.7 nM. It exhibits potent inhibitory activity against HeLa, HepG2, A549, and HL-60 cells, with IC50 values of 0.35, 0.3, 0.43, and 0.28 μM, respectively. As-CA11 induces apoptosis and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in cancer cells, decreases reduced thioredoxin (Trx) levels, and increases oxidized thioredoxin (Trx) levels. Additionally, As-CA11 demonstrates antitumor activity in a 4T1 tumor-bearing mouse model.
