Description

Antibiofilm agent-21 is an orally active prodrug of Antibiofilm agent-20, modified through glucuronidation. It minimizes intestinal absorption by reducing membrane permeability, thereby enhancing colonic delivery where it is converted to its active form. In a DSS-induced mouse colitis model, Antibiofilm agent-21 increases colon length and reduces IL-17 and TNF-α levels. This compound is applicable in the research of inflammatory bowel disease.
