Bioactivity

• In Vivo:
  Alfuzosin hydrochloride (10 mg/kg, p.o. ; single) potently antagonizes phenylephrine-induced increases in urethral and arterial pressures up to 6 hours post dosing. Animal model: Male Wistar rats (250-450 g). Dosage: 10 mg/kg. Administration: Oral administration; single. Result: Increased prostatic concentrations to 4.1-8.6 times higher than plasma concentration.
