ADTN hydrobromide is a dopamine receptor agonist with EC50 values of 3.5 μM and 0.65 μM in rat striatal and nucleus accumbens homogenates, respectively. It stimulates cAMP production in striatal tissue, an effect that is antagonized by fluphenazine.
