Description

3'-Demethylnobiletin is a bioactive flavonoid with demonstrated chemopreventive potential against colon cancer. In vitro studies show it inhibits colon cancer cell proliferation, induces cell-cycle arrest and apoptosis, while in vivo models support its anti-carcinogenic activity in the colon.

Bioactivity

• In Vitro:
  3'-Demethylnobiletin significantly suppressed CD36 expression. The inhibitory effects of 3'-Demethylnobiletin toward TPA-induced SR mRNA expression are partly associated with the suppression of AP-1 and NF-κB transcriptional activities.
