This process triggers myeloid differentiation in acute myeloid leukemia cells (AML) and leukemia stem cells (LSC). Differentiation in AML and LSC cells is characterized by increased expression of myeloperoxidase, CD15, CD11b, and CD14, along with the activation of p38 MAPK. 10-Methoxy-canthin-6-one is utilized in the study of leukemia.
