Description

1-Naphthylacetamide is an orally effective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent (NAIA) and an indole auxin-like plant growth regulator. It can inhibit inflammation-related pathways and modulate plant hormone signaling processes, displaying anti-inflammatory, local anesthetic, antispasmodic, pain-relieving, and diuretic activities. This compound promotes the enlargement, differentiation, and fruit expansion of plant cells. In mice, 1-Naphthylacetamide leads to central nervous system (CNS) suppression, characterized by reduced spontaneous activity, decreased irritability, reduced muscle tension, and weakened auricle, ipsilateral flexor, and corneal reflexes.
