• In Vivo:
  METHODS: To investigat the neur Protective effects, Trolox (50 mg/kg) was intraperitoneally injected once a day for ten days into an MPTP-induced Parkinson's disease mouse model. Results: Trolox may exert neur Protective effects on dopaminergic neurons against MPTP-induced oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, motor dysfunction and neurodegeneration.
• In Vitro:
  METHODS: Human cervical cancer cells HeLa were treated with Trolox (2.5-160 µM) for 24 h and cell viability was measured using MTT assay. Results: Cell viability decreased dose-dependently, wit the maximum effect observed at 160 µM Trolox. METHODS: Human skin fibroblasts were treated with Trolox (0.5 mM) for 96 h the expression levels of target proteins were measured by Western Blot. Results: Trolox increase the mitochondrial levels of Mfn2 in Primary human skin fibroblasts without affecting these levels of Drp1 and hFis1.
