In Vivo
Rutin inhibits platelet aggregation and diminishes capillary permeability, thinning the blood and enhancing circulation. Consequently, Rutin may prevent blood clot formation and is utilized in treating heart disease and stroke.
In Vitro
The intraperitoneal injection in mice has determined the median lethal dose (LD50) of Rutin to be 650 mg/kg.
