• Source: Platelet factor 4 is a low molecular weight (MW 7,800) heat stable protein, secreted by alpha granules of the platelets. Purified platelet factor 4 isolated from pooled human serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
