• Application Notes:
  Growth hormone secretagogue (GSH) receptor agonist based on the primary structure of ghrelin (IC50 = 10 µM). (Trp3, Arg5)-Ghrelin (1-5) (GSWFR) stimulated growth hormone secretion after intravenous or oral administration and centrally administered GSWFR increased food intake in non-fasted mice. The orexigenic effect could be inhibited by (D-Lys3)-GHRP-6 and also by the NPY Y1 receptor antagonist BIBO3304 suggesting that GSWFR-induced feeding is mediated by the NPY Y1 receptor.
