Description

VU0529331 is a small molecule activator of inwardly rectifying potassium (GIRK) channels, showing moderate selectivity. It activates GIRK2 homomeric and GIRK1/2 heteromeric channels with similar EC50 values (~5 µM) and is also effective on GIRK4 homomers. This tool compound is used in vitro to study GIRK channel physiology and their roles in neuronal and cardiac excitability.
