  Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:64000.Western Blot:In transfected MCF7 transiently expressing Human UGT8 a band of approx. 65kDa is observed. This band is not observed in the non-transfected MCF7. The calculated molecular size is 61.5kDa according to NP_003351.2. Recommended concentration, 1-3µg/mL. Preliminary experiments gave an approx 50kDa band in Human -Brain lysates and 48KDa in Rat Brain lysates after 1µg/mL antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 61.5kDa according to NP_003351.2. The observed band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported?

MCF7 overexpressing Human UGT8 and probed with orb1248877 (mock transfection in first lane). Primary incubation (1 ug/ml) was overnight at 4C. Detected by chemiluminescence.
