TZ9

SKU: orb1706502

Description

TZ9 is a selective Rad6 inhibitor that blocks Rad6B-mediated histone H2A ubiquitination. This activity underlies its observed anticancer effects, including induction of cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in vitro, supporting its use in oncology research targeting DNA damage response pathways.

Bioactivity

In Vitro
In MDA-MB-231 cells, TZ9 (Rad6B SMI #9) inhibits proliferation and migration when administered at concentrations ranging from 0.5 to 100 µM for 72 hours. Cell-cycle progression delay is observed in MDA-MB-231 cells treated with TZ9 at concentrations ranging from 0.1 to 5 µM over a period of 24 to 72 hours. Apoptosis induction is noted in MDA-MB-231 cells exposed to TZ9 at a concentration of 5 µM for 8 to 48 hours. In MDA-MB-231 cells, TZ9 exhibits inhibitory effects on H2A ubiquitination and downregulates levels of PCNA and β-catenin protein when applied at concentrations of 0.5, 1, 2.5, and 5 µM for 24 hours.
