Suc-AAPF-pNA is a chromogenic substrate that, upon proteolytic cleavage by enzymes such as proteases and prostate-specific antigen, releases yellow 4-nitroaniline. It is widely used in vitro for enzyme activity assays, including the screening of hydrolytic activities in yeast mutant libraries.
