Rabbit polyclonal to PRMT7.Protein arginine methyltransferase 7 (PRMT7) can catalyze the formation of both omega-Nmonomethylarginine (MMA) and symmetrical dimethylarginine (sDMA), with a preference for theformation of MMA. It mediates the formation of sDMA of arginine residues in the small nuclearribonucleoproteins Sm D1 and Sm D3 and of histone H4 Arg-3. PRMT7 is also thought to play a rolein gene imprinting.
