At a concentration of 1 mg/mL, it exhibits antibacterial properties by inhibiting 86% of Mycobacterium avium. Meanwhile, Poloxamer 334 P104 has muscle toxicity and forms thermoreversible hydrogels, making it useful as a food additive and a drug delivery vehicle in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and tissue engineering.
