  Culture system: Broth culture. ; Preparation: Harvested organisms are washed and processed in a two step detergent extraction process. Antigen is enriched for P1 adhesin protein and is presented in phosphate solubilising buffer containing 2% n-octylglucopyranoside. ; Inactivation: This product has been treated with detergent. Confirmed inactive by attempted growth under original culture conditions. Since no procedure can guarantee absolute sterility, the reagent should be handled with appropriate safety precautions.
