    Tillmann Ziegert

    Tillmann Ziegert, PhD. | CEO & Founder

    Tillmann graduated from the University of Southampton with a PhD in Biochemistry in 2002. He held various commercial and scientific positions in the Biotech industry at Syngenta, PerkinElmer and Abcam. He was part of Abcam, as it grew from 25 people to 250, and private to public holding with his roles culminating as Head of Marketing. Tillmann, with many ideas on how to combine science, ecommerce, logistics and marketing in the Life Science industry founded Biorbyt in 2011. Biorbyt has grown significantly from its inception in his living room and now has four global offices, over 30 staff members and a lab in Wuhan, China. Tillmann is passionate about bringing a flexible and friendly customer service approach to the industry. In his spare time, he pursues his interest in philosophy and history by doing a part-time degree in PPH at Birkbeck.

     

    Qun Yang

    Qun Yang, FCA, CFA, FRM | COO & Co-Founder

    Qun is the co-founder of Biorbyt Ltd. A qualified chartered accountant (ACA) and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Qun additionally holds qualifications, including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM). Graduating with a BSc in Finance and Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), she additionally gained an MPhil in Therapeutic Sciences from Queens' College, University of Cambridge in 2019.

    Having started her professional career as an auditor with Deloitte and later working for Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank, Qun brings a wealth of experience in finance and knowledge of China to the team and has been instrumental in setting up the finance and operations functions at Biorbyt.

    Having worked in the UK for 2 decades, Qun is passionate in her support of the UK Chinese community, with a particular focus on raising the profile and social impact of women. She established the UK Chinese Women Connect Association and is elected as the first chairwoman. From 2017 to 2018, as an associate at the Cambridge Judge Business School, Qun was appointed as the Executive Director of the Wo+Men's Leadership Centre. Combining motherhood and entrepreneurship, Qun leads from the front and shows everything is possible.
