Bioactivity

• In Vitro:
  Inclisiran is a small double-stranded RNA molecule whose mechanism of action is to reduce PCSK-9 levels in hepatocytes by interfering with the transcription of the preprotein convertase chymotrypsin 9 (PCSK-9). This effect upregulates the expression of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptors on the hepatocyte membrane, ultimately leading to a decrease in circulating levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C).
