Description

GDP-α-D-mannose disodium salt acts as a competitive inhibitor for GTP (Ki 14.7 µM) and an uncompetitive inhibitor for mannose-1-P (Ki 115 µM). This donor substrate for mannosyltransferases and precursor to GDP-β-L-fucose is utilized in glycosylation research, including in vitro enzyme kinetics and studies of fucose biosynthesis pathways.
