Corticostatin, human (Human Neutrophil Peptide-4) TFA is an antimicrobial peptide with antiviral properties. It is effective against Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecalis, and Candida albicans. It exhibits stronger bactericidal activity against Gram-negative bacteria compared to HNP-1 to HNP-3. Corticostatin, human TFA can be isolated from azurophilic granule fractions using a discontinuous Percoll gradient.
