Biricodar is a third-generation modulator that inhibits the drug efflux functions of P-glycoprotein (P-gp/ABCB1) and Multidrug Resistance-Associated Protein 1 (MRP-1/ABCC1). It is utilized in vitro and in vivo research to investigate and overcome multidrug resistance (MDR) in cancer chemotherapy.
