Application notes | This antibody reacts with murine MHC class II I-A and I-E molecules, as confirmed by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis of Ia immunoprecipitates from metabolically labelled murine lymphoma cells (Momburg et al, 1986). Cross-blocking studies with anti-Ia β-chain MAbs indicate that P7/7 binds to the β-chain of murine Ia (Momburg et al, 1986). This antibody has been used to stain acetone-fixed mouse pancreas sections to study lymphocyte infiltration (Signore et al, 1987; Signore et al, 1989) and ethanol-fixed mouse brain sections (McMenamin et al, 1998). In flow cytometric analysis, this antibody has been employed to identify MHC class II-expressing murine cells (Hayball & Lake, 2004; Heath et al, 1991), and to analyse the surface phenotype of murine N9 microglial cells (Dimayuga et al, 2005). This antibody has been used in immunofluorescence analysis of acetone-fixed thymus sections to identify MHC-II positive and negative medullae (Aschenbrenner et al, 2007). |
