Description

Rabbit polyclonal antibody to SNAP254 which is also known as SUP whose expression can be detected in the neuron and brain but it is majorly expressive in the granule cells of the cerebellum and hippocampus. It is found in the synaptosome. It can perform functions like synaptic vesicle fusion to presynaptic active zone membrane and glutamate secretion. It plays an extensive role in the synaptic function of specific neuronal systems and associates with proteins involved in vesicle docking and membrane fusion while it can also regulate plasma membrane recycling through its interaction with CENPF.
