Description | Rabbit polyclonal antibody to MLKL also known as hMLKL whose expression can be detected in the adult and fetal brain and kidney but is highly expressive in renal tubules and testis. It is found in the cytoplasm. This protein plays an efficient role in TNF-induced necroptosis, a programmed cell death process and is activated following phosphorylation by RIPK3 leading to homotrimerization, localization to the plasma membrane and execution of programmed necrosis characterized by calcium influx and plasma membrane damage. It does not have protein kinase activity. |
