• Biological Activity: Assay # 1: The biological activity was measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA, the ED50 is typically 0.5-5 µg/ml. Assay # 2: The biological activity was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of mouse D10S cells, the ED50 is typically less than 1pg/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >1x109 unit/mg.
• Purity: Greater than 97.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Storage & Handling

• Storage: Stability: Lyophilized IL-1A although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IL1A should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles
• Form/Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
• Buffer/Preservatives: The IL-1A protein was lyophilized from a 0.2µm filtered solution of PBS pH 7.4 with 10% trehalose as protectant.
