• Description: Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) to liver cell processes are useful in the identification of hepatic carcinomas and normal organ structures. mAb HSA98 binds to human hepatocytes and the majority of human hepatocellular carcinomas (HCCs). In frozen sections, it stains hepatic cells and may be used as a marker of the liver. Cell preparations of hepatocellular carcinoma biopsies or cell lines are found to bind HSA98 on the cell surface. This mAb stains liver hepatocytes in frozen human liver sections and is positive on the cell surface of human liver carcinomas.

Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.2. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.
