• Application Notes:
  The undecapeptide RDLPFFPVPID (iAβ11) has a similar degree of hydrophobicity as the native amyloid β-peptide (Aβ), but with a low propensity to adopt a β-sheet conformation. It is therefore called anti-β-sheet peptide or β-sheet inhibitor. iAβ11 binds to Aβ, inhibits Aβ fibril formation and partially disaggregates preformed fibrils in vitro. This anti-β-sheet peptide may serve as a starting point to design inhibitors of amyloidogenesis in vivo.
