Description | Rabbit polyclonal to TRPC6. Short transient receptor potential channel 6 (TRPC6) belongs to the transient receptor (TC 1.A.4) family, the STrpC subfamily, and the TRPC6 sub-subfamily. TRPC6 is thought to form a receptoractivated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. TRPC6 is probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Also, TRPC6 is activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C. TRPC6 seems not to be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion. |
