Description

TRIpure Total RNA Extraction Reagent efficiently extracts total RNA from various animal, plant, and bacterial tissues and cells. It features strong lysis activity that quickly breaks down samples while maintaining RNA integrity and preventing degradation. Following sample lysis and centrifugation with chloroform, the mixture divides into an upper aqueous phase, an intermediate layer, and a lower red organic layer. The RNA-containing aqueous supernatant is harvested, and total RNA is precipitated using isopropanol. The isolated total RNA is pure and free from proteins and genomic DNA, making it ready for immediate use in Northern blots, dot hybridizations, mRNA isolation, in vitro translation, RT-PCR, RNase protection assays, and cDNA library preparation.
