• Biological Activity: SARS-CoV-2-IN-14 is a niclosamide analogue. Niclosamide, a widely-used anthelmintic drug, inhibits SARS-CoV-2 virus entry through TMEM16F inhibition and replication through autophagy induction. SARS-CoV-2-IN-14 shows potent inhibition against SARS-CoV-2 with an IC 50 of 0.39 μM which is comparable efficacy to niclosamide. On the other hand, SARS-CoV-2-IN-14 contains higher stability in human plasma and liver S9 enzymes assay than niclosamide, which can improve bioavailability and half-life when administered orally [1].
