Rabbit polyclonal to PRMT2.Protein arginine N-methyltransferase 2 (PRMT2) is a protein arginine methyltransferase thatmethylates the guanidino nitrogens of arginyl residues in proteins such as STAT3, FBL, histone H4.PRMT2 acts as a transcriptional coactivator of multiple nuclear hormone receptors, including AR, ER,PGR, PPARG and RARA. PRMT2 may inhibit NF-kappa-B-mediated transcription and promoteapoptosis. PRMT2 can also repress E2F1 transcriptional activity in a RB1-dependent manner. PRMT2may be involved in growth regulation.
