• Description: Monoamine Oxidase (MAO) Activity Colorimetric Assay Kit is designed for detecting MAO activity in the sample.
• Application notes: The kit provides a simple method for detecting MAO activity in a variety of biological samples such as serum, plasma, tissues, cells, bacteria, plants and Fungi. In the assay, MAO catalyzes the deamination of monoamine substrates to the corresponding aldehydes, which are further oxidized to acid. The substrate has a characteristic absorption peak at 360 nm. The rate of monoamine substrates decrease at 360 nm can reflect MAO activity.
• Storage: Storage at 4°C and protected from light upon receipt. Kit has a storage time of 12 months form receipt.
