Keratin-10 is a member of the type I (acidic) cytokeratin family, which belongs to the superfamily of intermediate filament (IF) proteins. Keratins are heteropolymeric structural proteins which form the intermediate filament. These filaments, along with actin microfilaments and microtubules, compose the cytoskeleton of epithelial cells. Mutations in this gene are associated with epidermolytic hyperkeratosis. This gene is located within a cluster of keratin family members on chromosome 17q21. Keratin 10 has been shown to interact with AKT1. [Wiki]

Western blot testing of human thymus lysate with Keratin 10 antibody (clone CTKN10-1). Predicted molecular weight ~59 kDa.

IHC testing of FFPE human bladder carcinoma and Keratin 10 antibody. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in pH9 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
