Description | The Forkhead-box (FOX) genes comprise a superfamily of at least 43 members that encode proteins which are involved in transcriptional regulation and may be associated with the pathogenesis of various cancers. FOXB1 (forkhead box B1), also known as FKH5 or HFKH-5, and FOXB2 (forkhead box B2) are members of the FOX family and each contain one forkhead DNA-binding domain. Both FOXB1 and FOXB2 localize to the nucleus where they are thought to function as transcription factors that can bind to DNA via their forkhead domains. In mice, defects in the gene encoding FOXB1 are associated with retarded development of the central nervous system (CNS), suggesting that FOXB1 may play a role in CNS organization and function. |

Analysis of HuProt (TM) microarray containing more than 19000 full-length human proteins using FOXB2 antibody (clone PCRP-FOXB2-2B2). These results demonstrate the foremost specificity of the PCRP-FOXB2-2B2 mAb. Z- and S- score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that an antibody (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary Ab) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProt (TM) array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD's) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If the targets on the HuProt (TM) are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD's) between the Z-scores. The S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of an Ab to its intended target.
