BCA Protein Assay Kit (Low Concentrations) is a highly sensitive colorimetric method commonly used for protein quantification. It relies on two main reactions: first, proteins reduce Cu²⁺ to Cu¹⁺ in an alkaline environment; second, BCA chelates with Cu¹⁺ to form a water-soluble complex that exhibits strong absorbance at 562 nm. The absorbance increases linearly with protein concentration. The assay is compatible with most sample chemicals and is ideal for quantifying proteins prior to analysis.
