Description

Mouse monoclonal antibody to CD271 which is low affinity receptor which can bind to NGF, BDNF, NT-3, and NT-4. It can mediate cell survival as well as cell death of neural cells. CD271 is useful for the detection of all cells expressing p75NTR on their surface, such as motor neurons cholinergic basal forebrain neurons, activated Schwann cells, olfactory ensheathing glial cells.
